The bandwidth is an issue with 3G and 3.5G when looking at web content. This has WiMax. As our fearless forum founder, you have contacts all over the world. -

Oh what lofty heights do I hold the venerable founder of this forum to. Like I mean, who doesn't even know basic Pyccknn.

Non ruski versions are imminent. Most likely in SE Asia. May already be available. I think if you put the word out that you want one, some forum member may know how.
Bigger screen than the Ipod. As you probably know, HTC makes phones for Google.

Another option for my next phone is to look at the multi SIM units from HK. Have two lines (business and personal) and just one phone to carry.

Incorrect. In 1997, at this size, with Snake 2, a flashlight and a currency converter, in a package that is like 13 cm long....this thing would have been top of the line.

Ask Slim, he has the new one - mine was the very first version and there have been improvements. It was pretty decent overall but I don't use that many of the features. And mine being old had some bugs and stuff for most of its life. Considering the abuse I put it through, it held up pretty well really - almost 3 years before it finally crapped.

Went and looked at the E71, and aside from the fact that the back of the thing is a fingerprint magnet, and the keys are a little smaller than I'd like, it appears to be 100% awesome. The thing feels totally solid. Am thinking about picking one up pretty soon. WiFi and GPS.

i hope your zune, betamax and dreamcast are still in fine form.

Anyway, I'll need to get a new phone and I don't follow the phone/gadget world at all. I mostly use it for phone and text functions but I'd love to have one I can use for email/forum and tether to my laptop. I like the form factor of this one but I do like the touch screens on a lot of the new ones. The iPhone seems okay but is missing some stuff that I like to have, and seems too locked down for my taste. I'm okay with Palm or Windows Mobile and don't plan to use it too much like a computer, but there's no sense in getting something too limited either.

Anyone have suggestions for me? I am not against switching providers either, no particular loyalty to Verizon and if I get an internet plan I'll probably be paying more than I want to.

Thanks.

I still maintain that the Dreamcast was the best console of it's time.

I believe the GPS and Nokia Maps are stand-alone/free, but the turn by turn directions and voice navigation might be extra. I don't really know.

The Q is such an awful phone. I have a matte black one, and I can't delete text messages. Everytime I turn off the phone, or the battery dies (which happens a lot becuase the battery life is awful) they all magically reapper. So the gf can read all of them, but they clog up so much room on my phone it freezes now. Almost 2 years of texts and call logs embedded on my phone.
