You can't get much cooler than McQueen.

I went to get a new one and they were all sold out. Mine is getting a little ratty.

Can't believe I paid $100 for mine only a few years ago.

Baracuta was taken over by WP Lavori a few years ago and then the prices saw a huge increase for the new collection (after the old stuff was sold off for pocket change). With the new prices it's not worth it anymore IMO.

Anyone have suggestions?

Tons of designers make Harringtons. Fred Perry is probably the cheapest, being about 80 bucks or so on eBay. But fashion forward "classic" lines like RL and Brooks will come out with them regularly as well.

Designers with slightly more conservative/ traditional bends will also stock them. APC regularly does, for example. Oi Polloi, IIRC, also came out with a house label that stocked one. It's a pretty standard design.

IMO, they don't look as good in person as one would think. I like the British racing green version that Oi Polloi bought from Baracuta this past season, but a lot of the standard colors are either hard to wear or a bit boring. The chances that you'd come out looking like my dad are a lot higher than you coming out looking like Steve McQueen.

ToJ had a leather version for a while that I thought looked really good. @gdl203 has it in olive green. I've only seen photos of it, but I thought it looked really nice.

This is so true, and it brings to mind one of my favorite menswear posts ever: Bullitt vs. Oh, God

Yep, the actual Baracuta's got a huge price increase about 2 years ago maybe? Time to get harrington jackets from somewhere else.

Anyone have suggestions?

Lab series F&F sales. I really should look for an alternative they seem overpriced. But then they do seem to work best for my face..
