^ Very nice; reminds me of Carpe Diem, too. You really do pay for the leather treatment with Paul Smith, but boy - do they know how to treat it well!

I dont know if those are a treated suede, but they are nothing like suede

Having seen them irl, they are awesome. The leather isnt soft and fuzzy like suede, it has a hard finish to it like calf, but it definitely underwent some treatment to get it like that.

The triumph boots I have in oxblood came in that same black suede-yleather, which I wish I had gotten earlier in the year. It probably makes for the best black leather shoe ever....tons of visual and textural interest in the leather, it kinda feels like roofing material

A question for people with the dip dyed leather shoes - how do you care for the leather? Do you use a typical shoe cream/polish in the color of the leather or do you use a neutral cream/polish or what?

They're distressed so I don't polish them, but I treated mine with Obenauf's to darken and keep the leather soft, which seemed to work quite well.

Drizzt - which Obenauf's product did you use? And how much did it darken them? I'm looking to darken my tan Starrs as well.

The Leather Oil will darken, the LP doesn't change color much at all, and it's more difficult to use on brogues.
