^yeah, but it would quite impossible that both Varys and Daario would not learn about Golden Company leaving Essos, so my bet is that they will switch sides in the moment where it will seem everything goes in Cercei favour

That episode was great. All of it. Not just because of the return of Dany's ****, but....mainly because of the return of Dany's ****

Daario took over the Second Sons--he was not affiliated with The Golden Company, although I guess he could leave meereen and join them...but why?

Obviously something big is going to happen with the golden company. They have the reputation of never breaking a contract (though introducing such a reputation in a story like this is almost asking for that to happen...in the books they break it to join fake-Aegon), but who exactly is their contract with?

It seems like the iron bank led cersei into thinking she should use their funding to secure the aid of the golden company, but I suspect the bank is the party who actually entered into the contract. If that is the case, then they could presumably become anti-cersei without actually breaking the contract.

And if it is Cersei, then they can just have the contract be broken. Probably by introducing Jon Connington as the leader. Jon Connington has a man-boner for Rhaegar...once he learns Jon is the son of his love (and is the child of Lyanna, not Elia, who he thought wasn't good enough for Rhaegar), he might be willing to break the reputation of the company to turn on Cersei.

Thought Jamie is suppose to do that

Melisandre tells Arya she will shut green eyes. Cersei has green eyes. Maybe they tag team it.

And she's probably going to use littlefinger's face to do something, although it will probably be kind of lame in execution.

Not saying he will join them, I think that storywise it would be impossible for him and Varys to not know that Golden Company is leaving for Westeros so Daenrys will have a contingency for that.

There are supposed theories that a jilted Daario will join up with the Golden Company to fight Dany. Can't really see this being a thing (unless the show reverts back to repeating how he initially won her trust), but interesting nonetheless.

All in all, super entertaining season, but also extremely frustrating and plenty illogical. Gives me hope the books, should they ever be completed, will provide the satisfaction that went begging for lots of season 7.

Can't see this going down. Hard to imagine any way the showrunners introduce a reasonably significant book character with only 6 episodes left. Every second is of vital importance, and why would they want to waste time with compelling angles when they can have 5 minutes of Theon Fight Club?!?!

It's really setting us up for an exciting last season though. Dany and Jon won't trust each other, Cersei is in a position to win some unexpected early victories, all while an apocalyptic threat looms in the north. Wow! They sure did move the plot along this season.

I didn't notice this myself: In all of the scenes where Littlefinger is scheming or Arya is spying/scrounging his room, they threw in some raven sound effects.

I can't watch the clip at the moment, but are you sure that isn't just background noise in every scene set in Winterfell?

Someone has to lead the Golden Company, and something has to make them break their contract (unless they just suck and get slaughtered, but my understanding is that their combat ability should be closer to Bronn than Ed Sheeran). Might as well be Jon Connington, even if they don't flesh out his backstory.

I can't say I went back and checked, but they seem to usually be fairly careful about those sorts of things. In the clip it happens 3 times, at what seem to be fairly significant moments (just after she enters his room, when she begins to search the mattress, and then again when she actually reads the letter). Outside of that ~45 second period, there seem to be other background noises and music, but no ravens. The person who pointed it out online said that their girlfriend noticed because the raven sounds annoyed her and then they pieced together that she was only being annoyed during a specific set of scenes.
