Do they have beef with the Horween company? Or just with the shell material?

Just recently they did a Horween chamois make up for Herring. Thought these look great and been eyeing them for a while (was hoping for a 30-40% black friday sale).

I think it’s the waste associated with shell. Is a temperamental material to work with in general.

Yep. I can’t find the box right now but they called out “Horween bourbon cordovan chukkas” which is the first I can recall them listing the tannery.

Seems to be a decent amount of stock available, also from the Factory Shop website.
I kinda like the Hydro Nubuck ones, but not enough to buy a pair. Also really enjoy my Stow's in green cutter leather, but those look really weird in the website's pictures.

Currently owning 4 pairs of Tricker's and although not my favorite (which much be the Pembroke's), they are my most worn.

I'm not sure if this would help since you state you don't want to buy them but if you look at "the outnet" website, there's a couple of whisky hydro nubuck on there. Cheaper than on the tricker's website. But never ordered there so check the website background first if you choose to order.

I saw a Tricker’s box in TK Maxx in my size the other week and my heart started racing with excitement. I opened it to find something almost as majestically rancid as these. I imagine they’re still there if anyone near Huddersfield is interested.
