Most drinkable cheap booze in your opinion?

Ezra Brooks for 12$ for 750 ml is not too bad of a bourbon either. It's a bit harsh neat but with some water or on the rocks, it's good to go!

A year back, Tesco Lager was not that bad either. It was pretty cheap compared to others from what I remember!

Just tried Russian Standard last night. Really ******* good. I'm talking good enough to compete with Chopin and Zyr as my favorite vodkas. Cheap as hell too.

I have a Sky bottle and when it's empty, I just refill it with whatever the cheapest vodka I can find. No one has ever been able to tell the difference. Vodka is Vodka.

Ballantine's is my go to cheap booze, which I kind of hate myself for since I don't love how it tastes. But it NEVER gives me hangovers, which is remarkable considering I always get awful ones.

I was thinking 2 handles of Vodka and 2 of Rum- enough mixers. I'm looking at the best (or less vile), dirt cheap stuff; $10-15 a handle.

Svedka is more like $20-25 a handle where I live- I was thinking more along the lines of alternatives to Popov which goes for $10 and probably burned all the way down to my entrails the last time I had it.

Beg your pardon sirs, but what exactly is stylish about drinking cheap alcohol? If you only purpose is to get hammered quick, may I recommend chinese cooking when with a chaser of Aqua Velva.

Instead of finding new ways to become a hobo, why not start investing in your good taste. Famous Grouse is a beautiful blended scotch (Highland Park and MaCallan to name a few) and is only slightly more expensive than the rot gut you are currently imbibing.

Ain't nothin wrong with serving some cheap stuff, but 4 handles for 35 people is gonna make you look cheap. lol. That's like 9 people on each bottle? I have a couple friends who I could probably polish a handle off with in short time, as a trio. I'd maybe go to 5 or 6 handles and be ready to re-up when supplies dwindle. Or, skip all that, and just get a keg.


I am drinking some 'premium' small batch Korean soju right now, Hwayo 25 (there's a 41 as well, twice as much). Average Korean price for regular soju = $1/bottle, this stuff, $10/bottle. Still not too expensive considering my liquor expenditures but it does seem a bit more worth it, will probably keep this on hand more often now.

Same thing as I was going to say. 4 handles for 35 people is about 4 shots per person. Better off just getting a keg, charging people $5 a cup, and using the profit to buy hard stuff for when the keg is done.

You guys have horrible horrible horrible taste in beer it seems... Except for the 2 of you who down St. Ambroise, great stuff.

In the interest of getting drunk cheaply, as a university student who takes his alcohol seriously, I have done my research on this. At least to cater to my tastes.

Beer: La Fin Du Monde - Not cheap anywhere other than Ontario and Quebec, 9%er and a six pack for $13. For reference, Coors Light in Ontario is $10 for 6 bottles. And while Coors Light is swill, La Fin Du Monde is a Canadian interpretation of the strong Belgian Abbey Tripel originally invented by the Trappist monks. It's a very spicy blonde ale with a moderate amount of yeast from bottle refermentation (the mark of a good beer.)

Really, in the US, find your local microbreweries. If you are interested in good beer, check out sites like Ratebeer and Beer Advocate and find out which of their higher alcohol brews are rated highly. I believe I can buy bottles of Weyerbacher Double Simcoe IPA in Pennsylvania for $4-5 (750mL, 9% alcohol) and it's an absolutely wonderful beer. Natty and PBR are just horrible, if I'm going to drink something to get drunk and not care about the taste, why would I choose something I had to drink SO DAMN MUCH OF.

Liquor: Teacher's Highland Cream Scotch, I am going to guess this is around the same price as Dewar's at most places in the US. From a completely unthorough search on the internet, there is a place selling it for $17 for 750ml. And although I'm not a scotch connoisseur (yet) I would probably put it on par with black label. DEFINITELY better than Red Label or Dewar's.
