I just read @dieworkwear breakdown of the Michael Anton story. He was a prolific writer and now is in Trump's cabinet.

Dieworkwear knew Michael enough to know that Mike criticized Trump's style and hated white shirts.

But I'm new to SF and am trying to understand this.

What was SF like 10 years ago that allowed this relatively small amount of people to post SO much and that these characters all knew each other well?

DWW didn't say he would hate Trump's style, he claimed Manton hated how Gorka dressed. Manton didn't hate white shirts in general, he just sometimes claimed they were a poor choice with odd jackets.

DWW was obviously poking fun. And Manton's posting was often an over the top troll.

Now there’s a rare sighting!

Hows life?
I hear Mike's name and I'm first to the party. I'll bring the beer, you bring Bresch, Ernest, Jon and the shooman.

Life's good. Still in Vietnam. Had a baby girl 8 months ago, so vaguely remember sleep, but all happy and healthy.

Yourself?

It all began when a fine gentleman named Andrew believed the internet would like to Ask him About Clothes.

A young upstart named Jeremy of Washington asked Andrew how one could hope to match one's socks with one's trousers should one prefer to shop at a Seattle thrift store.

O how the Melindae mocked! Others proceeded to ask about how jeans should be worn and the scorn did pour like molten rubber into the sole-mold of a shoe they'd never wear.

Young Jeremy found himself with no choice but to make his own damn forum.....

@Ambulance Chaser you wanna take it from here?

Haha, yes kids do that. I actually have a 2,5 y/o mini me and expect another any day now. Other than that, still in the Netherlands with a lot less travel, which is fine. As you say, happy and healthy.

You keep that handsome little Mini You away from my daughter!
I suspect it will be the other way around.

Mini me has won the genetic lottery, he’s got blue eyes, blonde curly hair and it looks like he’ll grow to my size 6’4”.

Already told mom we can expect a parade of teenage girls in due time😅

Au contraire my towering Dutch friend! My little girl lucked out on the mixed Asian-white genes and shall need to fend boys off relying purely upon the jiu jitsu classes that she shall start the moment she can walk!

Big big congrats to you and wifey on the incoming as well, and have a great Christmas!

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
