Follow up: this linen overshirt is fantastic. I can't believe Buck Mason doesn't stock it anymore! The linen has a little heft but is soft and breathable. Wore it outside today in our oppressive DC heat.

Canali just launched their 90th Anniversary collection. A few interesting MC pieces. I personally like the grey wool/cashmere suit - looks vintage inspired.

If they offer it through MTM, may order it.

I like the full saddle pants a lot, have a couple pairs of the chinos and cords in that cut. Good value for the money. Want to try some other things.

I agree, very good value for high quality basics (meaning, no wild designs, but very versatile pieces).
@WoolyLamb just picked up a cotton khaki suit from their DC store. Care to weigh in?

It's mid-July in DC and the heat index is at 100. Time for my annual "Why is Paul Stuart flogging knitwear in this weather?" pic.



They did have a nice linen Safari jacket and some linen sport coats as well of course.

Serious question/observation: Wouldn't people on Yachts need light knitwear, even in the summer? Maybe they're catering to that.

I wonder if wearing a square scarf tucked under a crewneck sweater like in the pic below is actually a thing and if there are any practical benefits to doing it? I guess it would be nice under tailoring in order to minimise the damage to the jacket's collar.

I can see the benefit of having some color or pattern between a flesh-toned knit and one's neck if you don't want the bulk of a collared shirt under the knit.
