By sheer luck, this Buck Mason linen shirt in my size just popped up on ebay!

Super hot and sunny now. Am deploying the big guns. Blue one for navy or gray attire and tan for brown-in-town at work. Tired of having the Dermatologist cut or freeze stuff off me! These are super comfy and come in 61mm (their XL). Wifey and I stopped at Lock's in London a few years ago. Pretty cool even if hats are not "normal" anymore.

Hats (especially for chrome domes like moi) are life savers. Leaving aside the health angle, I feel a legitimate 10 degrees cooler with some sort of coverage.

I have a Panama hat but feel a bit costumey in it. Fedora currently live at LuxeSwap as the cold weather I bought it for disappeared years ago.

I always felt like Panama's were fine as long as it was sunny and you're dressed for spring/summer. Fedora's are cosplay dorky no matter the occasion.

I wore one to and from work in the snow. Seemed to work for a while but winters here have gotten very light.

Panama works with linen suit or other summery attire like you mentioned.

Cross post from the briefcase thread...

Can anybody recommend a vendor/maker that makes a briefcase like this?

I like the style, but the price is pretty high ($5k - it's Tom Ford).

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I don't own one but take a look at Frank Clegg.

Any good recs for Henley medium to light weight? Something with texture but loose ie not a thermal. Open waffle texture perhaps. Sort of like a man alternative to the band collar shirt. Short or long sleeve doesn’t matter.

There are some short sleeve linen GRP henleys at No Man Walks Alone. Todd Snyder has lightweight waffle knit long sleeve henleys but you may have to size up so they don't fit snug like a thermal.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
