Question for you -

How many of you guys dont click in or buy or look through items that dont have a size on them, or dont have the time to check your measurements against those that are posted?

Rarely if ever do I click on an tem with no listed size in the listing title (I imagine this is tricky for you regarding eBay rules on descriptions for custom items that have no tagged size).

Anything that I click on I check measurements.

Hope that helps your market research!

No measurements are a deal breaker for me.

NEVER EVER EVER. FUKS ME OFF BEYOND BELIEF....

I scroll through all of your stuff so I don’t miss anything but I can see how a casual buyer would want a size listing.

I don’t bother with things that don’t have a size listing, unless it’s something I’m really interested in. In which case I’ll then attempt to find out the size.

I'm more inclined to click through something with a size listed, but if I'm really interested I'll click anyway. I always compare measurements (except when I don't and regret it later...)

scroll past. unless something else in the picture of the listing catches my eye.

If it has my size I click on it, if it doesn’t I have to really like it to click on it. I have a saved search for “big guys” and click everything with that designation.

If the item is interesting enough, I always check it out. The exceptions are IF a size is listed and it's WAY too big or too small.

If there is no reference size...I probably click half the time. Mostly if the item interests me. I prefer having a size listed in the description.

Thank you guys for the answers, and as mentioned, I assume that you and many others acted as you had.

Now let me preface this by saying I have/had no involvement in this and I did not request he do this, nor will I receive any revenue for it.

But for awhile now, a longtime forum friend @Lirum has been working on a project that uses LuxeSwap ebay listings. His program scans through Luxeswap listing descriptions, parses out the text measurements, and combines them in a database. The end effect is that his database of LuxeSwap listings become searchable by their measurements. He contacted me a few months ago and said he wanted to make an "app" of sorts to help buyers find their size easily. So I said sure! I dont want to speak for him but I think the end goal will be a weekly service which generates and sends out a digest of LuxeSwap listings that match his subscribers' measurements.

All this techie stuff is a bit beyond my grasp so Ill let @Lirum explain in depth better than I can. I will say this though, once he finished it and I sent him my measurements, the listings that came up in his search were all the items from my closet that I had up that week. Whoa.

I'll pass the mic to @Lirum explain the details - but again, I dont benefit financially from this in any way - this was all his project that he initiated and he is running. But its really freaking cool!!

Thank you @SpooPoker! Very excited to open this up.

I had this idea four years ago while selling my own stuff. But at the time, I was gearing up for college and didn't know how to code. I put it aside. Later, after I dropped out, I began teaching myself to code (what a single person can do with software >>> what a single person can do with chem engineering). In the fall of 2017, I took an online CS course that required a final project. Perfect! I thought that course had prepared me enough to prototype this idea and I budgeted 6 weeks to get it done. Yeah right.

But for the first time in my life, I didn't quit an overwhelming project. I didn't drop it. It's July, but I now have report generation ability now for Suits, Sportcoats, Casual and Dress Shirts, Coats/Jackets, Pants, and (sortof) Sweaters. My program takes in a set of measurements and tolerances, and returns the items that are within those measurements + tolerances.

These are sample measurements in a google sheets template I've made (getting one of these to me is described down below).

With that, I can generate reports like these. Like the rest of this, they're a work in progress (ie, the included measurement criteria region lists criteria by ebay item category id instead of the name of that category; that needs to be fixed.)

This report uses my own measurements.
Measurement criteria used:

I would send something very much like this to your email address weekly. My goal is that each email contains 3-9 items matching your measurements. The whole point of this is an email with real meat in it and no noise. I want you to open an email, click 3-9 links, place some snipe bids, and receive a package from Spoo two weeks later with some dope clothing.

A big plus is my program doesn't care that at item's size is untagged. Spoo lists tons of killer untagged stuff and it's all unsearchable if you're sorting his listings by size. Additionally, rarer/dope custom stuff tends to be untagged anyways. These items tend to go under the radar for other potential buyers. So in addition to saving time, using my service allows you to know about and win dope **** for under-the-radar prices.

You save time, you save money, Spoo gets more sales, and I get paid.

But it's still quite early. I need users to put this thing through it's paces. I need users who care enough to criticize and who are invested enough to offer feedback (for instance, that pair of vtg bellbottems in sample report 2 shouldn't be there. It's a BIN listing, not an auction. I'm not sure how it got in.).

---

It's $15/mo for this first round of users, which is capped at 5 people (I will add you to a waiting list if you aren't one of the first 5. That waiting list is how I'll know who to contact first when I open it up again).

The deliverables I can promise to this initial round of beta users right now are these:
- One initial report once you're signed up.
- Every Friday, you will be emailed a digest. You will be emailed even if I don't have matching items for you on that week.
- That list will pull from Luxeswap auction listings for items in ebay categories: dress shirts, casual shirts, sportcoats, suits, coats & jackets, and pants.
- At least three rejiggerings of your measurements per week, upon request.
- Access. (If you want that.) I need your feedback more than you need me, to be honest. So I'll be noting suggestions you make.

Oh, and a final thing: Right now there's no recurring payment mechanism. The upside is that cancelling is easy: don't send me money next month through paypal. So if I do a **** job, or, if I do a good job but it's ultimately something that doesn't make your shopping process better, backing out is painless.

Signup process is below:

There's no website to signup at yet. You'll be paying to my personal paypal address. The measurement input process uses Google Sheets.

Steps:
1. Open up this Google Sheet (click for link).
2. In the top left, click File -> Make a copy. (This will require you to sign in to a Google account)
Screen Shot 2018-07-10 at 2.39.18 PM.png

3. In that new copied sheet, fill in your measurements (green hue'd fields will auto fill based on my assumptions. You are free and encouraged to overwrite those with your own measurements).
4. Save that filled in sheet as a PDF. File -> Download as -> PDF Document
Screen Shot 2018-07-10 at 2.39.42 PM.png

5. Message me here on SF with the email address you wish me to send reports to. Include that downloaded PDF document to the message.
6. I will reply to that message with my personal Paypal address.
7. Send me $15 on Paypal.

Once you have messaged me your measurements and paid, I will email you a report. The weekly reports after that will come to your email address once per week on Friday. Modifications to your measurements profile can happen throughout the week. Like I mentioned earlier, you're entitled to at least three modifications where I'll work with you tune your profile/results.
