And here are the other pairs I bought to kickstart my JL collection. Hopefully not the last. :)

Go big or go home!
Very nice.

I have the same plum balmoral boots due any time now (MTO on EE width).
JL is addicting. From experience, these will not be your last

Thanks and right you are. Had to add one more today :), as currently visiting Geneva and they have very nice store and great staff there. Now I have to curb my enthusiams a bit, as there will be new designs eventually. What I am really impressed by is how comfortable they wear and it is also good to see them making shoes which wear well with jeans, which is my daily work outfit.

Agree!

^^ Our best seller - it's an amazing style. Wear in good health.
No wonder. I know shoes are meant to be worn, but I still walk carefully while wearing them.

John Lobb still got it!
Yes, I think the City II in dark brown museum are beautiful as well.

Absolutely stunning!!!!
Congratulations!
Thanks for the compliment.

I can see why my Meermins Felipe II can´t compare.

Many thanks. They are indeed stunning. Had to get used to the look on foot at first as I never had Monks to date. Did not take long to love them though. :)

I have Burgol Neutral cream. Also OK or is Saphire the one to get?

I've only used saphir. They are considered the "creme de la creme" of shoe products. I've put three separate applications of saphir renovator and the patina just jumps out at you! This pair of Hayes might not ever get any shoe polish, just renovator, hopefully I can be buried in them.

Many thanks. Clear on the renovator. Funny comment on the shoes for the funeral. Had the same thought when I got them. Well, let's hope it will be a very long time till we wear them last. ;-)

I have also found that the saphir renovator brings out the museum very nicely, without using any colored creams.
