I recommend this thread to be made official ugly shoes thread and stickied as a solemn tribute to all the poor moomoos that have been needlessly sacrificed to produce such abominations. Also to link to all who seek knowledge of what not to wear.

Are those Clarks shoes made for elegance or comfort? They look to me like the shoes marketed to nurses and other workers who are on their feet a lot, hence the adopted clog-like construction for orthopaedic reasons.

I wouldn't wear them to hit the town, but then I also wouldn't wear a pair of hand-made George Cleverley for a 14-hour hospital shift.

Let us separate shoe snobbery from shoe function. And also shoe stupidity for that matter. Only the rich and/or the foolish spends 10, 000 on a pair of shoes.
