I've seen far uglier shoes than that. Any of the current Stacy Adams shoes are the first to come to mind.

Agreed, I wouldn't be caught dead in them but it gets a lot worse.

At least they're hideously expensive for how good they look.

Just forward the picture to Hermesman...

    He will love that.

Love is always in the eye of the credit card holder.

I actually think they look pretty good. As AR points out in the link, the main problem is the little flap, it seems needless. If I had the money to spring, and had already bought all the other shoes I would want/need, I'd get these. I love gator, and these look like high quality. Of course they're not worth the money, but they're not made for people who debate whether something is "worth" it.

If I were given them, would I wear them? Yes.

The second half of the thread title - "world's ugliest.."is a lift from the SW & D title. I agree I have seen uglier. But vulgarest
    (if that is a word)?

Lasbar: my original draft post ended "Calling Hermes Man". But I thought I'd leave that to a senior member to pick up on.

Seniority has no benefits on SF...[IMG]

Spalla and Hermesman are quite actually quite entertaining...

I agree. But I'm trying (if not always succeeding) to fit in with the lower-snark new MC.

Quite honestly you only think it's ugly because you're no different from all the other cliched louis-vuitton haters on this forum.

If these weren't made by LV, you wouldn't have a problem with them. In fact, you'd probably start worshiping them. [IMG]

It may be that cross-posting from SW&D is frowned upon, but could not resist sharing this on this side of the forum.

    I am speechless.

Not true. Personally, brand identity is meaningless to me. I didn't even read the blurb and didn't know they were Louis Vuitton before I disliked them. It's the combination of their being black, being brogued wingtips, and being made from reptile skin that I find off-putting. If they were were just one of those three things, they might not be ugly. The pointless added strip of leather going over the tip of the wings doesn't help at all either. edit: also you can see the logo on the side of the sole. [IMG]
