There's so much hype around the iPhone that I feel it will become ubiquitous very very soon.

Would you buy one? Do you need their features?

I've just googled for "iPhone". This is from the wikipedia article. It says a lot. (it's compared to a Prada phone)

"LG Electronics claimed the iPhone's design was copied from the LG Prada. Woo-Young Kwak, head of LG Mobile Handset R&D Center, said at a press conference, "We consider that Apple copied Prada phone after the design was unveiled when it was presented in the iF Design Award and won the prize in September 2006."[61]

LG later claimed that Apple stole both the ideas and concept of the Prada phone.[61] However, the iPhone had been in development for almost five years and AT&T was contacted three years before (2004?). A lawsuit by LG had been rumored prior to this announcement;[61] however, LG has remained silent on whether or not they will file a lawsuit."

I wish to purchase this phone so that I may be cooler and people will like me better.

It's really impressive how they can sell so much so fast. I don't care much about the phone, but I can't help but be amazed at the depth of this hype.

Perhaps Zegna Sport will also create a jacket that has all the iPhone controls built into the sleeve.

I actually kind of liked that Zegna Sport jacket and might even have wasted my money and bought one, despite its being made in China, if it didnt have that ugly ipod control crap on the sleeve.
