I did well this fall. I only purchased one piece from the EG F/W collection, an Allen Edmonds belt and a WWM jacket on sale. I am more of a S/S shopper, as I hate the winter. Overall, sales (as with the Yuketen mocs I just purchased), EG and EG sales usually get the best of me. For example, I need a pair of black shoes and those cap toe trickers are tempting. However, I just shelled out for two pairs of mocs so I am holding back.

usually buy a nice jacket and pair of shoes each year and wear levi's for everything and buy some nice t-shirts with a bunch of plain white t's

I handle my spending urges like I handle my female urges.

Just rub one out and your have a clear head.

I tend to go on jags where I buy a few of one thing (cardigans, manbags, glasses).
I need to chill and go for rounding out the wardrobe.
Often guys have a tendency to buy a lot of what looks like they already own.
Lately I just ask myself, "do I already own something like this?"
Most of the time, answer points to yes.
