6.5 this morning. Finally back to some decent pace and the last half-mile at 7:30. Which is blazing fast for me.

Just realized that today's run took me past my total distance for all of last year.

Progress.

Great pics Rob, thanks for sharing those. There was a bit of a break in the humidity today, did you notice? Ran 4.5 miles today, sans iPod, which was surprisingly nice.

Hey All,
Just got back from a week in the north of Chile.
3 days of running at 0 altitude at the beach (with one 15 mile run ft. 4 mile tempo between miles 8 and 12 (5:48 avg pace)
3 days at 8000 ft. running slow 10 miles every day. It was awesome to run through Incan ruins each day.
Training has been solid, but I have been damn busy and intend to post more consistently.
Will read over the past few pages now to see how everyone is.
A few images of running/vacation . . .
Ran into friends running in the ruins:

explaining that it is hard to run at 8000 feet (wearing all Boston Marathon gear . . .

after getting out of hot springs at 530am in freezing northern chile: geysers (same source as the hot springs):

Did you notice a positive effect from the altitude runs once back at sea level?

Nice pics NYR & Sam.

10 miles (4 tempo) for a total of 70 for the second week of my 12 week marathon plan.
