Anyone who post fits in this thread is a legitimate target for criticism. Minding one's own business is besides the point.

I can troll StyleForum Nazis all day long. It's fun.

I will admit, however, that there are rules that I hold higher priorities over others. These are, of course, my rules and no one else's. There's an obvious difference between style and fit and it's important to know which of these criticisms matter the most.

- Fit.
- Colour coordination.
- Style. Individuality. Attempts at breaking out of comfort zones.

One of the most intriguing elements I learned in Art courses years ago was understanding the colour wheel. Learning about primary colours, contrasting colours and Cool and Warm palettes. When it comes to the colour coordination a lot of guys have in their posts, those that we generally find most appealing may actually have Scientific reasoning. At the end of it all, it doesn't matter if someone wears a pink and olive check jacket with an orange shirt and chocolate brown trousers, if it's tailored impeccably I will always respect the attempt. Knowing that there is a cultural difference from poster to poster makes a lot of the StyleForum critiques roll my eyes. It's the equivalent to saying a Savile Row tailor is terrible at his practice because you asked him to make an unstructured suit and it didn't turn out as Italian as the way you had hoped. In contrast, a well-thought out colour palette, with awfully fitted garments, looks good only at first glance. Between those two, however, they are both far more intriguing to me than a gray or blue suit armoured over a living mannequin in his robotic stance and a terrible attempt of trying to achieve confidence across his face.

One person wearing a blue shirt with the collar unbuttoned is not asking for your coercive submission to do the same. I would never wear a hard tree-button suit, nor would I ever fake good posture for internet approval. Almost all of the outfits that I post on this thread all target specific people's abominable rules that say something should never be done, so I troll accordingly.

But, to each their own. You can learn to appreciate peoples different approaches or continue yelling "Sieg Heil!" in the mirror.

I think I also prefer them out @An Acute Style and I love the bow!

Most of my Formal-ish Fridays seem to involve some take on the uniform. Last week it was Austin Reed blazer with Benson and Clegg buttons, bespoke dogtooth trou in Holland & Sherry cloth and Hermes tie with little bats (the animal kind).

Ok, mind your own business wasn't the right choice of words. There's a big difference between critiquing an outfit and throwing a written tantrum because someone didn't do exactly as you wish.

I can think of few if any situations where that has been the case.

The weather remains dry and comfortably mild here in NYC, and the parade of double-breasted suits continues - day 2 of 6.

Today's is main-line Paul Stuart, something I found on sale several years ago, and latched onto immediately.

Suit - Paul Stuart
Shirt - Tyrwhitt
Tie - Charvet
Cufflinks - Deakin & Francis, London
Braces - Paul Stuart
Pocket square - no name brand
Shoes - Septieme Largeur
Face mask - New & Lingwood
