It works, somehow, but I would'n exclude that there are better combinations (some more contrast). The different shades of blue don't match well in my eyes.

Because it has too much colour for a plain and rather austere outfit.

As always, it's merely my personal opinion, reflecting my own taste.

I didn't realize this was an annual occurrence, but since it was brought up I'm not going to say it doesn't work, though I agree with the comment about the blues. I will say that I'd prefer it if the jacket were cream and brown instead of greys and the pants dark brown to do a whole tonal brown thing.

Then again, I'm just a big fan of tonal brown things.
