I don't think a dark shirt/light sportcoat looks bad without a tie. I've seen several guys in this thread who looked great with the look. Maybe a white linen PS would've been better too.

The guy on NCIS wears that look all the time and pulls it off.

I think that the issue is more so that it's not CM. I probably won't stop wearing stuff like that, but I'm definitely going to stop posting it haha.

Here's what I was wearing for our Xmas party. I know the pants need tapering, the jacket is just way too big and wearing pillows under a coat to compensate is not recommended by Flusser, and the hat is a little too matchy with the beard, but the eagle-eyed of you will notice the smoke Rider Oslo boots...
