Pingson, that is a terrific look - I might shorten the trousers a smidgen, but that is picking nits.

Thanks. I agree that they could be just a tad bit shorter, but being rather tall I rather err on the side of slightly too long trousers than slightly too short - that just looks real awkward on me..

Back to work after three weeks of vacation wearing almost exclusively T-shirts and shorts.

I really like this, Pingson. Very nicely combined, and I like the pocket square's colour, close, but not too matchy or clashing. Do you have a photo of the entire square? I'd like to see the rest of it, not just the puff.

Thanks. Here's a photo I just snapped (crappy lighting :embar:). It's an old silk/wool square from Drake's

....Are you serious? You should at provide us with some details

Allegory: A story, poem, or picture that can be interpreted to reveal a hidden meaning, typically a moral or political one.

I think my earlier question got lost in the mix: Do the "Rules" permit pairing seersucker as an odd (specifically as an odd jacket, as Diaz did so ably in two of his last few fits)?

Will from ASW does it well (the seersucker odd jacket thing)

I don't think it's uncommon at all to wear seersucker as an odd jacket or odd trousers. DB is not as frequent, though.

jcmeyer, Nice tie, nice (if drab!) colour palette, good fit. I'm not feeling the pinstripe trousers worn as odd trousers here - pinstripes work a lot better as part of a suit. Also, the pocket square is too matchy with the tie and looks odd.

I think they do, mostly because I do it.

Pingson: Thank you, sir. Looks good. :fonz:

Yep! Agree on the pants; thought I might get away with the square :)

Color palate matches the morning! Heading to the burbs now though where it will no doubt be too warm for most of it.

Thanks for the feedback.

Lovely, and slightly unusual colour combination. I like the bright green & fuschia with the orange; wouldn't have thought they'd work so well together. Good inspiration.

That tie is crazy. In a good way, IMO.

Yup, would agree with this. Thought it would be a suit when I gave it a thumbs-up; with those trousers I'm less convinced.

Our fantastic little heatwave continues. I generally avoid having to carry bags or cases around like the plague, but had to today, so included that in the shot:

HF, I love the top part, hat included - but not keen on the bottom. If it was a suit, or if the trousers were a darker shade of beige, this would have been killer IMO.

Where do you get your panamas, by the way?

-----------------------------------

Me today: poor quality pics, messy hank and moar seersucker. And for some reason I find my RTW pants (like this) more flattering than my MTM's. Reminds me that I should stick with RTW for trousers, even if there's no fresco to be found...

Thanks. They're not from anywhere special. This one's from a random market stall; the more battered, slightly yellower one is from Marks & Spencers.
