This has taken forever just to get to a first fitting, but this is from the Loro Piana Sunset book (about 50-50 cashmere and silk, I think?). I kind of wish I’d had it done up as a shawl lapel summer dinner jacket, but it will be great in its current form, too.

And picked up some red/white 100% cashmere herringbone which reads as pink for the Fall/Winter version of the above.

It's a lovely shade with a nice texture. Really attractive.

I thought of you guys when I impulsively bought this thing off ebay a year or so ago, but never posted it here. I keep wondering if I should tailor it so it fits properly or just send it back out to someone else .... Paul Stuart by Isaia, cost me $70 + $11 shipping. Linen-cotton, unlined and unstructured, and the part I really am not in love with is that it's basically a 2.5r3 where the top button isn't quite rolled but isn't quite unrolled. And it needs to be let out for me. I'm thinking of letting this one go.

I see what you say, it looks more like a classic 3 buttons. Lapels too narrow for my liking. What I like is the cold shade of pink.

Agreed on all counts. And the contrast stitching ... yeah this is probably a good lesson not to impulse purchase stuff because I read a fun thread on styleforum ;) probably best to let this one go.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
