And yes, they had a granny lace! But to be fair, I just put them on for the pics, so I'll be sure to catch that when I wear them "for real." I'm glad to know about that now...fixes a bad habit.

If I've learned anything from SF, it's how to tie my shoes. :)

Still haven't run into anyone in Epaulets here either. Can't wait until that day happens where I'm speaking with a stranger about my (our) pants on the street. Ha.

You guys need to get the Epaulet Liberty print shirts. That way you could spot eachother from miles (kilometers) away.

Man, should have gone for the grey exford instead of the wine. Pairing gives me a headache.
What shirts and blazers are you guys wearing w the wine oxford?

That's exactly why I went for the grey. Love the wine color though just knew I would be challenged.

Wine is so much cooler than grey oxfords.

I love pairing the wine with a white shirt and navy/blue blazer.

I also do a blue shirt with white jacket (or seersucker if I'm feeling like a total boss).

Oh, believe me, I know. First time I wore mine, a guy walked by and said 'Nice pants.'. As he walked pass me he took a closer look and said 'wow those are REALLY nice'.

Anyway, I was gonna wear it today as well, but trying to figure out how to pair it made me almost late, so I just wore a go to outfit instead XD

As promised. Darker than the Epaulet studio pics, but still with lots of contrast. Natural welt should really look nice with age.

:nodding: Amazing!!! I cannot wait for mine to arrive! What size did you get? I went with the 9.5 given that I am a 9 in the Barrie/Trubalance.
**Fingers crossed**

Thanks! I have the 10oz ones.

10oz'ers look awesome - even though I already have the 7oz, I still want the 10oz when it's restocked, just so I can wear this color year round.

I think the combo with the Carminas looks especially killer. At first I wasn't really sure what to wear with these....I had some beeswax Clarks DBs on the other day, but I was in a bit of a no man's land with those on. They looked too clunky, and they weren't formal enough and they weren't casual enough. Today I'm wearing a pair of sneakers - grey Nike Blazer 6.0 - and I think it looks much better. Either dress it way up with some suede balmorals or dress it way down...at least that seems to be working best for me right now. I bet some of those snuff suede Carmina double monks would look pretty boss with these :D

Excellent pairing. Your pics make me think they have to be worn sockless.

I saw the Liberty print shirts at the SF event. What a stylish way to jazz up jeans and a navy blazer.

Thanks. I went with 10, but for me that's b/c 10 in Barrie is too big (volume-wise) in the heel, and 9.5 is too short at the toe. I think the sizing up by 1/2 really depends on how Barrie last fits you personally.

IMO/FWIW, I feel like the Leydon does not fit that much *shorter* than Barrie (maybe a tiny bit), but more that it's a slimmer overall fit. So, for low volume feet like mine, it's great, and I can go "TTS", but I hate that term since I wear everything from a 10 to 11 depending on the shoe and its last or style.

Anyway, hope that helps.

Does anybody own the Regiment Twill Walts in Royal Blue?
What colors would pair up nicely?

Can anyone comment on how the Carmina Inca last is compared to the Barrie last? This is for someone who:

- the Barrie is a perfect fit width wise (9.5 D)
- takes a "e" on the Allen Edmonds "5" last
- cannot fit into a size 10D on the Leydon last (too narrow)
- cannot fit into any Clark desert boots (too narrow)

I want to pull the trigger on a pair of Double Monks but am scared they will be too narrow. Thoughts?
