Yup! Long story short... we're going to move to the name "Wilhelm" for all of the bigger thigh products. Wilhelm jean, wilhelm chino, wilhelm pant (for Fall).

But this is a bit different than the Sandow in a few ways:
1) Better, cleaner construction
2) Button fly
3) Hollywood waistband
4) Chainstitched at all major stresspoints
5) Slightly larger thigh and better taper
6) Made in LA (was previously made in Georgia)

These are some of the best pants that I've ever made. The sizing is great on them, and I think the big leg crowd will find them to be really unparalleled in fit. I'm going to hold stock in Khaki, Navy, and Fatigue (our three best selling colors), but this is probably the only offering of Cloud Grey that I'll do this year. It's a great color for warmer weather.
No size 30's in this run or have they all been sold already?

New Wilhelm chinos are going live in an hour or so. I'll give you guys the complete rundown later today but short story is: these are the best big-thigh pants that we've ever freaking made. They're really perfect.

I shot one of the new colors with that denim jacket sample to show you how it looks when worn...

Curious to see that in linen or a linen blend.

I'd been hoping for stone Sandows for summer - would Cloud Grey fit the bill?

Try contacting them via private message on facebook or start a new email thread. They are a small operation, workforce-wise, and emails can definitely get lost in the shuffle. Once contact is made, however, you'll be very pleased with their customer service.

We'll also tag @Epaulet here!

Has anyone else experienced a somewhat weak center seam on the indigo pique chinos?

Hey guys,

Yeah if anyone has a seam issue with their indigo-dyed Rivet Chinos, then please let me know. We delivered about 85 units of these, and I've got a few cases that we're going to fully repair and reinforce.

The issue was most likely the dye process. Garments to be indigo-dyed require 100% cotton thread for their construction. It takes the dye fully, but it's not as strong as thread in a synthetic blend. This isn't really a big deal except for really high-stress seams -- like the crotch of a pant. I'm going to proactively reinforce the construction of all the units that we have on hand now, and anyone with a seam failure will have their pant fully repaired and reinforced. We'll just do this as a matter of course in the future, just like we do with the EZ Pants. My apologies for any headaches with this guys.

This is going to drop in our newsletter tomorrow, but the Ikat Doyle/Rivet separates arrived and they are INCREDIBLE

You can use the code ikat15 to save 15% on the Chino, Doyle, and Chainstitch shirt. Production on this is really limited, and we'll never do this fabric again, so it's really special. I'll follow up with some videos highlighting the fabric next week, but trust me.. it's absolutely bonkers. The shirt cloth is very lightweight and Summer-ish. The jacket & pant are about 9oz in weight, so good for the warmer weather, but able to go about four seasons if need be.

Doyle Jacket in Hand-Woven Indigo Ikat: $265 ($225.25 w/code ikat15)

Rivet Chino in Hand-Woven Indigo Ikat: $185 ($157.25 w/code ikat15)

Chainstitch Shirt in Handwoven Static Wave Ikat: $175 ($148.75 w/code ikat15)

@Epaulet How many inches can the current Tokudai Pique Rivet Chinos reasonably be taken in? I keep exchanging for higher sizes and I'm already two sizes higher than my typical just to fit with the rise and the thighs. I know that's why the Rudy was invented. But I like these Tokudai pants in theory, and this is my first experience with Rivet Chinos...

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
