II was in Jack Straw in Seattle the other day looking at the porter jackets, and the guy told me I would most likely be a medium, but they only had an L in stock. My usual jacket size is 38R, does an M sound about right? I'm on the hunt for one in french terry. On a side note, is the sizing between the SS12 bedford and porter similar?

Stick with medium, sizing between the bedford and porter are similar. Good choice on the porter too.

a Large would almost definitely be too big. my experience in the EG jackets is that they often blouse out towards the waist but have a slim, fitted shoulder. it's kind of an anti fit if you're used to traditional sportcoats, etc.

I wear a 38R and Medium is the direction I would head in almost any case

The guys at Bureau put this together for an outdoor wedding I'll be attending in August. I'm very happy with how it came together, and the fit is just what I was after. Blue Cordlane Cambridge trousers (32) and Bedford Jacket (med) paired with a tab collar shirt and the tie and pocket square pictured. I'll probably pick up a vest between now and August and I'm tempted to go with something besides the EG cordlane vest. I feel like a little contrast might be nice.

At The Bureau they know well how to match EG items :)
I love the set they have prepared for you!

Me too I will offer the advice to choose a different pocket square, instead the matched one ;)
