Not to feed the hype. NOT zug. :) Galways in acorn county calf, for today's rainy day:

Very nice, similar to my galway boots in almond country calf.

All this zug talk, to this day i still don't know what that means... :embar:

IMHO Zug is the same as what Edward Green call heather grose, Zug Grain leather is a Water resistant hard-wearing leather, it has a waxy finish.
The colour is a reddish brown and as you can see from those picture's above the boots look great!

Very nice. I like the lighter color, I need to get me a boot in a lighter color. Just not sure what I would wear them with.

Anything! I don't mind a little contrast so it works for me. Since I have these, I'm getting rid of my Pembrokes. The Galways just have a better fit.

Nice Dr. Acorn is so underated particularly on the split toe models.

Thanks! Yes, on a Nevis the leather would look great!

Now that you mention it, I think it's almond... too confusing for me. I call it "tan pebble" to others. lol

I've often thought about getting a pair of Pembrokes. Maybe I should re-think and just get another pair of Galways.

Thanks, burgundy antique.

Thank you! I'm dreaming of a burgundy Alderley makeup and looking for all the real life burgundy pics I can find.

Dude, that would look killer. I'd personally want to see it on the 202 last, like the olive antique Alderley I showed you.

OK so how many of us are interested in this? Maybe we can convince @stevent to join us.

I'd be somewhat interested but with prices increasing I'm probably going to place order for racing green delapre galway and burgundy wingtip shannon at end of this month most likely

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
