Is there a real quality difference from the Gladstone vs the Chelsea? I know the Gladstone is only Top Drawer, is it worth the premium over the Chelsea?

yes, top drawer has everything you asked for and I would say EG top drawer is a great, if not the best, semi-bespoke.

I wore these boots all day yesterday and the 72 last is super comfortable for me. The toe cap has a real military type look which is what I love about the 72 last. I also really like the new leathers that EG are using.

I think they would have been really successful as a current stock but maybe they were not economically viable.

I polished my Cardiff after a few days of travel and snow. I continue to use a few different colors on it, and would call it more of a Mahogany Almond now.

These are a beautiful pair of shoes and they will only look better with age. A perfect sport Derby in my opinion. So long were they on sale and I didn't pull the trigger. I fell bad.

Thanks everyone. Yes @Zapasman , mostly dark brown and black cream. Mahogany and medium brown at times. At one point I had too much black, but some medium brown wax helped cut it back and blend it in.

great job.

I wouldn't buy the shoes on the bottom, but would definitely consider picking up a pair on the top picture.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
