Amazing. This photo makes me think a plain toe boot would be awesome from C&J / RL.

Has anyone tried the Brooks Brothers Horween wingtips now on the website and compared them to Marlows? Understand they are C&J, too. I am curious about fit, finish. Don't own either and trying to decide on one or the other.

similar to the marlows IMO. without the storm welt though, which makes it a bit sleeker. sizing is same as marlow as well.

I thought they were snugger than the Marlows.

I previously owned the RL Marlow shell wingtips and a couple of weeks ago I tried on the BB Peal shell wingtips. To me, the shell material and coloring of the two shoes is identical (save for slight variations/gradations based on the Horween batch). I very much prefer the flat welt on the Peal than the Marlow storm welt. I was not completely sold on the Peal on the 240 last (the Marlow is on the 325 last) so I did not buy them. I have a high instep. I generally have greater concern over how a shoe fits in that area rather than the heel or toe box. From memory, the Peal was a more generous fit than the Marlow - both in size 12D.

You can see a photo comparison of the RL Marlows and BB shell wingtips at the following:

By the way, I see that BB now has a Peal shell three-eyelet PTB:
