the subject matter is alright, but the more impressive thing especially with his later work is that he got his flow down, aggressive voice tone, and amped up the witty lines.

i've listened to a lot of rap for about a decade now and weezy (i'm going to broaden the era) 05 to 08 was some of the best stuff produced. carter II, III, da drought series, the dedication series. a lot of quality stuff there. one liners like you've never heard. he's always pushed out mediocre and crappy ****, but a lot of hitters in there too
