Sorry if I slightly digress from the current topic Gentlemen: can anyone give advice about the 6184 last fit?
I own a pair in 125 last, G width, and I find it good for my wideish feet; maybe I could just use a hint more space for my pinkies ...
Some nice shoes on 6184 but I'm unable to try them on, where I live.
Thank you in Advance, Luigi.

Hmm! Looks like the 125 is more straight while the 130 is more chunky/ round.
I've only had 205 and 11028 and love the length. Not sure how I feel about shorter lasts but I can see the appeal to them. Fox suede ftw!
Was tempted by the brixeorth previously too actually.

to be fair, my 125's have had trees in all winter where as I have been wearing my 130 brogues. I always perceived the 130 to be longer but I think they just have a smoother curve.

They are definitely more classic/round than my other shoes. The last is timely just not as aggressive as other more contemporary lasts. They do fit comfortably though (1 full size down from US).

Awkward subway picture of the berkeley. I've had this pair for a while but was reluctant to start creasing the lovely wholecut.

Amazingly comfortable and the break in took all but 5 minutes. Leather on this pair feels extremely supple, even compared to my other 5+ pairs of cheaneys.

What is the last on?

Luigi,

I'm having a bunch of Alfreds (8G, 8.5F, 8.5G & 9F) over to test after the recent free shipping and returns offer from Herring's Shoes. Coming from the Lime 8.5F in 11028, I was under the impression that the 125 last would offer more room in the toe box. However, a comparison of the outsole surprised me -- the Lime 8.5F seems a tad wider than the Alfred 8.5F! Walking around in the Alfred 8.5F also felt like the shoe was compressing my pinky toes somewhat.

How long have you been wearing your Alfred 10.5G? Have they widened a little over time?

I bought this week a pair of walnut grain double monks on the 125 last from Cheaney (actually made for Private White VC but I think it is the Edmund R model). My first Cheaney shoes and have to say from a quality to price ratio, very impressed. I know it’s all subjective but I cannnot see much difference (if any) in leather and finishing when compared to C&J’s standard line. The fit of the 125 in a UK 10 for me is also very good, these will not be my last pair from Cheaney I’m sure.

@Quantom , until now I have worn my shoes only three times, and my shoes are suede i.e. a leather that has some more "give" in it.
Therefore I don't know how much my experience might be useful to you.
Anyway, right because calf leather can stretch only so, if I was you I would only buy a shoe I'm comfortable in from the start.
I bought my shoes as new for dirty cheap and they were 99% right for me, but since you are paying full price and have the luxury of try on several sizes, you might want to pick the one wich fits you best. :)
Good choice with your Cheaney: I think as Webbo that they are very good value for money!
Best wishes, Luigi.
