Yes to both but bear in mind that I find a lot of Cheaney lasts narrow so tend to stick to the 12508. I can also wear the 208 but not the new Imperial last. Hurricane in my normal size does make for a slightly more roomy boot but I wouldn’t want to go down half a size.@shoefan57 You take your regular size in these ? For me it is across the widest part of the shoe and the instep. The 125 last and the Imperial last are especially problematic for me unless the 125 last is in a G fitting. This sounds good for my slim feet. Do the lasts feel narrow overall or just in some parts? In particular I need a last with narrow heels.
I agree with that assessment of Cheaney lasts. Many are narrow. I find 130 and 142 are a great fit and give room.Yes to both but bear in mind that I find a lot of Cheaney lasts narrow so tend to stick to the 12508. I must try the 130 lastI agree with that assessment of Cheaney lasts. Many are narrow. I find 130 and 142 are a great fit and give room.
That was a big problem for me when I tried Cheaney shoes in the past. I found their shoes much more generous in the ankle/heel than Lobb or Edward Green. I thought at first the heel slip and such was just due to the very heavy construction of the shoes and tried to allow for break-in, but the issues never really resolved. This sounds good for my slim feet. I have the Pennine II boots on the same last and although the website states it is a true to size last I had to upsize half a size because of the short toe box. But maybe others have different experiences.Anyone here has the Bowland boot? If I wear Alden Barrie last in 7E, and Viberg 7E, what size should I get?
Is that a tweed vamp ? People have been wearing that as a bad weather material for centuries. You may smell like a wet sheep and people will avoid standing near you but your feet will probably stay dry.I hadn't expected rain!🌧️ Not my usual choice for rainy weather...
Yes, it's tweed. No problem with my feet staying dry, but I always have assumed it's better for the appearance of tweed to keep it out of rain.Is that a tweed vamp ?
