Does anybody know if Carmina carries a “secret stash” of C.F. Stead Kudu (specifically blue and/or spruce)? I saw that they have the natural color, but only for their 80277 Llubi Wingtip MTO boots.

I could contact them directly about it... but perhaps later... I’m currently using whatever support bandwidth they have to sort out an issue with my Custom Weekend order.

Good luck with that I had two messages unanswered...

RE the kudu, they may have or may be able to get but my understanding is that makers have to order more leather than you or I as an individual would (presumably that’s to get a bulk price more so than they can’t actually order two hides).

Thanks!
Bummer. Kudu leather’s natural scarring has a certain charm to it and looks so nice (imo).

very nice. Will the russian grain be availabe again? Would love to do some MTOs. Also, when is the next MTO fee waive? :D

If Carmina decides to have two Custom/MTO Weekends in 2021 like this year, we can expect one in April and then the other in October. Hopefully, they have the free shoe trees promo again.

A gentleman a few pages earlier did provide codes for MTO fee waive and 10% discount. However, I believe they expire at midnight.

Two more newbie questions: Carmina virtual agent claimed that Rain would be best for my high instep; would you agree? Also, pictures of Chelseas seem to show the elastics as rather wide; if true then I might change to looking for a Balmoral lace-up.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
