I despise eBay with every fiber off my being...

Guy initiated return for item not as described because it has stains. I specifically stated there was a stain near the pocket and took 4 pictures of it. I call eBay and tell them, lady says it looks like buyers remorse and not to do anything until a case is opened. Today the case is opened and closed in buyers favor within 5 minutes.

I call, he forwards me to an escalation specialist. She reads everything and agrees with me that I did everything a buyer can do and agrees to close the case in my favor.

Five minutes later she calls back and said the buyer called before she could make the change and someone else had closed it in their favor.

She forwards me to an appeals specialist. This lady agrees that I did everything right, but "because I have a return policy they had to accept the return". I told her I would have accepted the return if the buyer was not a scumbag looking to get around my return fee and paying return shipping. She said wait for the return than call back and they would refund me the shipping fee which they already deducted from my account and then I could refund him the full amount he paid. I said no, I wanted the full restocking fee subtracted as well because this guy was a scumbag.

Anyway not sure about that part, but she said the case will be closed when I get the item and he can't leave me negative feedback...

Anyone want to block this scumbag his ID is pvtcounsel
+1 Ive had the same person try to return stuff.. Already on my blocked bidder list

Hmmm I paid for an item on the 27th, the item shows as shipped and yet the items shows as not paid...

Is this some eBay - Paypal split fuckup or is the seller trying something shady? I checked my messages and see nothing about a cancelled transaction. I also checked Paypal and the money is sent, but no refund or anything.

Quote: From my experience nothing. Wait till you get it back, I usually call ebay, have them note my accont, get the SRN (service request number), keep that on file if they open up a case, and relist.

Obviously confirm with ebay that the note they left on the SRN is saying you are not responsible for any item not received case and that you can relist the item without issue. Not your fault.

^Thanks, that's really good to know. Thought I'd be on the hook for it. The guy messaged me a couple weeks ago and I told him it was being held in customs, told him to contact his PO. He just sent me another message asking about it and I saw that. I will offer to send again if he wants to pay shipping again, I assume that won't get me in trouble.

Call ebay first and you can ask that but no offering to reship it at the acutal shipping cost should be no issue.

I was so furious about something similar that I shut down my return policy a few days ago (I wanted to do it for a long time tho, but some motherfucker with a bullshit return convinced me too)...........

Grr.... Got a PayPal case opened...buyer is disputing it as an unauthorized charge with their own credit card company and has filed a chargeback, and in turn PayPal opened the case.
Uploaded everything I could re: sale, tracking, and positive feedback received from buyer. We'll see how this one pans out. Am eligible for seller protection and hoping I'm good.

So it's either a true fraudulent charge or buyer's remorse. Either way, you probably don't want to sell to:

I don't think PayPal will protect you in this case. If the chargeback claim is lost you're kinda just SOL. But I'd recommend asking the buyer for all relevant information so you can file a police report. This scares most people off from opening a case like this when they're just fraudin'.

Hey guys! I'm in desperate need of advice. If you check out the Thrift thread, then you know I found a Leonard Logsdail suit. Rare find! So I ended up selling the suit with a best offer. Buyer put off paying for it for over a week. Kept claiming that he/she needed to wait to transfer money to their bank account from PayPal in order to buy my suit. Wtf? Initially, they finally paid for it even though they messaged me asking if I can wait yet another week for them to pay. Told them I couldn't and that a dispute was opened because of my settings.

NOW... I get a eBay message saying they want to return the suit because it's "Defective and doesn't work", claiming that they found pulling on this mint suit and the vents were damaged and looked like they've been restitched. None of that is true. I checked the suit before I put it in the shipping box and yet again, found nothing wrong with it. Ebay is saying that I can refund partial or the full amount but the buyer will keep the suit. Again wtf? I messaged him/her asking for pictures of said damage and now waiting to hear back from them.

What I need help with is.... How do I get the suit back? This person seems like scum. Why? Well, he's/she's buying peoples stuff on eBay and taking the persons entire listing and reposting it as his/hers. Seriously. All the pictures, exact same title and the description! Doesn't even try to make it his/her own. I remember a few years back that you can get reported for taking other peoples listings and using them as your own. Not sure if it's still a thing. Also, I don't accept returns. Says so in my listing.

The worst of it all? This guy is an SF member and he's following @BrianPore. I got nothing against @BrianPore either; I follow him and many other SF members as well. He told me he was a member on here. His username on eBay is reenilf. If anybody knows who this is, please let me know. I just want to know why he's trying to scam me out of a perfect suit AND the money..... And he'll probably take my listing and put it up under his name. Sigh. Any help is appreciated!

What's kinda funny (not for you) is that you look at this guy's listings and see that he's purchase from several thread members, SpooPoker included, and is using their photos. Maybe try to see if he's pulled this before.

How do I see if he's pulled this before?
