The interesting thing is I didn’t like it on first tasting. I bought it a couple years ago for like $60. It’s been just sitting, but for some reason I thought I would drink it that night. I have no idea why I didn’t like it before, it is absolutely delicious. Its sweet caramely taste, is somehow still spicy. The mouth feel is buttery smooth, caramel, vanilla, oak just very much to my liking, go figure. What did you think? I picked up a flight of these (10, 15 and 16 year olds) about 7 or 8 months back, and really liked the 15 for the price (think it was in the $120 to $130 range). Haven't opened the 10 or 16 yet.

There's the "neck pour" phenomenon, which may or may not be a real thing. Regardless if it's real or not... I usually give a new bottle a taste, then wait a day or two to go back to it, before I relegate it to the back of the cabinet, or to mixer territory.... YMMV
Barrell is super solidAsked the Boubon guy at Tower Beer for a recco and there's probably a conflict of interest but I like it.
