Bicycle toes, do you like them?

I have to confess that I did like the part-stingray pair Marcel posted here, I think.
But normally, they're one of the few styles I really hate.

Absolutely hideous, imo. And by the way, why are they called bicylce toes anyway?

These are actually some of the nicest bicycle toes I've ever seen... The last is quite elegant, which certainly helps.

Cycling shoes used to look like this, before the clips and straps were replaced by clipless pedal systems.




I don't like them either.

I have AE hillcrests in chestnut, and love them. Dont know that I have seen a lot of others with the bicycle toe, but I like this pair.
