Bespoke suit London. Possible for a tourist?

Hello all!

I am flying into London in a month's time. I was wondering if it would even be possible to start the process of fabrication of a bespoke suit for myself, seeing as I'm only in London for 6 days, and will likely return late this year sometime. So, 2 visits, spaced apart by 6 months or so.

Also, any recommendations? Most I'd be willing to spend this visit would be around 4000 pounds. If I can get something great for that or less, that would be nice. I'm sure I'd get something great for more, but I don't want to have to sell a kidney just yet;)

Thank you kindly in advance,
Art

There is no market for kidneys in London - that barbaric practice is largely confined to Asia and possibly parts of China.

I'm fairly certain you can be measured for suit in 6 days.

Shouldn't be a problem. The vast majority of SR firms should be able to accommodate your schedule. Meet them on the first day to be measured, subsequent first fitting 4-5 days later, and a final fitting when you return in six months time.

Needless to say, inform them of your schedule in advance.

That shouldn't be a problem. Here are some suggestions of places to look into:

Anderson and Sheppard
Huntsman
Gieves and Hawkes
Norton and Son
Chittleborough and Morgan
Steed (they are normally in Cumbria but might come to London to meet you)
Steven Hitchcock
Davies and son

I'm sure I'm forgetting some good ones but that should get you started

I didn't know China was not considered a part of Asia.

A good list. I would also add Henry Poole.
