As you know, seams are for the low brow.

Thank you.

This is interesting, I've had to pass up on a couple of awesome deals on pants because they had yucky-yuck-yuck pleats. Next time something comes up I'll weigh the possibility of removing them.

Got my pants back from the tailor today, and they look amazing. The big double pleats are totally gone with absolutely no evidence of them anywhere! The pants look like they were originally made with a flat front. I'm impressed. Worth $60 for sure.

The chalkstripes still line up nicely. He made a new crease and there are no signs of the old crease.

As I mentioned before, the only thing that I lost was the little change pocket in the front right often found on PRL flannel wool pants.

I've tried, but the pleats don't drape very well. Forward pleats and reverse pleats are cut differently.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
