Did someone say, "oxblood"? Denim and Daltons today for wingtip Wednesday. Really like that new Bordeaux color as it seems to be a good compromise between merlot and oxblood and really let the warmth of the red tones show through without veering too close to crimson.

My iPhone doesn't like figuring out colors during the .7 seconds I take while standing on the driveway in my backyard watching the dog run around like a spaz before I snap and shoot my footwear for this forum, but in real life these appear on the lighter side of oxblood than my Strands do. While not pink, per se, they definitely do have a pinkish hue. But, a manly pink. At least, that's what I tell myself when I slip on these Ladyboys.

I hope everyone is doing well,
have been scanning here rarely,
but always enjoy the positive vibes.

Has been a busy couple years,
shoes took to the backburner as we navigated some life changes.

While I expect very few footwear purchases in future, have kept eyes open on ebay and found Moby Dick
(in the form of 10+ year old unworn brown shark Belmonts w double leather soles)

Size 15 has always been different, very few choices...
But AE stuffed my closets with wonderful materials/colors etc.

The wallet has been closed for footwear purchases for a long time before these Belmonts.

@mreams99 has a pair of these that I've lusted after for years.
Mark, or does anyone know how old these are?
numbers inside: 15D 29858 9 5771 1232

Direct from ebay images,
checkout the stitch per inch count everywhere on these:

We bought a house at the beach (Fenwick Island)
so shark is particularly welcome.
-As are shoe aficionados in the area. :)

Ebay feels like the lottery sometimes.

Congratulations on finding these! They were available in 2003.

I had planned to wear mine today, then changed my mind at the last minute.

@Bagley, those have a "2" at the end of the number, so I would assume some time in 2002. The sole is exactly like my 2002 merlot Parks.

Speaking of merlot, my 2016 pair of merlot Parks looks nearly identical to the new bordeaux color. I learned later that the reddish merlot is not really what most probably think of as merlot from AE. My Hopkinson is much more purple and that's what I think of as merlot.

Important meeting with my director today. Even though it's virtual, still figured I'd dress up and what better shoes to break out for their maiden voyage than the Brown Shell Park Aves I got from the RDA sale! These may be my favorite Dark Cognac (Brown) shoes in my entire collection! Absolutely stunning!

@donkeyhoatie i think my oxblood is a bit redder than yours. Love those daltons!

oxblood MacNeils for wingtip wednesday:

If that's how yours look in real life, that's pretty close to how mine look indoors, except not quite as red since they skew a little bit lighter. My iPhone really can't figure out the color of them outside. I've probably dropped my phone one too many times and now it's getting revenge on me in this passive-aggressive way.
