I'll be slumming at Dappered. AAAC is blocked by the DoD.

Nazis.

Manton was one of AAAC founding editors! Phone the White House and get him to pull some strings!

Late entry to the Easter Parade. Ended up going with the Madison Parks. A tie bar and pocket square would have elevated this outfit substantially.

Hope you all had a great day.

Sounds like a pretty awesome shoe though...

The leather quality of the Indy line is the biggest difference. I have two of the Hops and the difference between those and my other AEs is striking. The leather is softer and more pliable, which makes the shoes more comfortable. They also shine up much more nicely and with less effort than my other AEs.

I think the Indy line compares well to shoes that cost a lot more money, which makes them an excellent value despite them not receiving deep discounts like other AEs. It's not something you really notice in the store unless you pick them up and really start comparing them to other models, but when you own several different AEs they can easily become your most favorite. I can see why guys like shell so much, but when I wear a suit, I reach for the Hops before the Macs.

Does Bonobos use vanity sizing? Or how close is their tag size to actual size?

Most of my wool slacks are made in Italy, and for all of those I buy them right at my actual waist measurement. With Bonobos chinos I wear one inch less than my actual waist measurement. I almost always wear them with an undershirt and overshirt, both tucked in, and I don't like my pants to fit too snug. I could easily get away without wearing a belt without worrying about them moving too much, but I always wear a belt. If I were to wear them with only a t-shirt untucked, I could probably get away with going two inches down from my actual waist size, but they would probably be a bit snug.

Happy Easter forum pals. I spent the day rehabing some vintage black shell Florsheim long wings. These are some of the last ones made in the US before everything went overseas and turned to crap. These youngsters are only 19 years old. I did not feel the need to spoiler them after the last several weeks on the thread. After dogs, cats, cars, guns, booze, food, etc, I figured some non-AE shoes would not kill anyone.

I finally got rid of my last pair of Florsheim a few months back. I used to really love their shoes.

@armedferret I was just scrolling back through the last few pages and realized I never asked, where are your suits from? The first looks like a linen blend maybe?

Good eye. It's a Lazio linen/wool from Suit Supply. Gray is a mini houndstooth from S&M

Hah, I was actually going to ask if the blue was SuSu. I'm thinking I'm done buying shoes for a while, I've been needing to replace all my suits and had been looking at Suit Supply, since there's one near my office. Navy and gray are my most pressing needs. I met with a Tom James rep at my office a few weeks ago, but I have no desire to drop 3k on a MTM suit, even if it is made by Oxxford.

Alright folks, y'all have a fantastic week, see everyone Friday. I fully expect that we'll make up for a weeks-worth of posting over the course of next weekend lol.
