Alden Modified Last: If You Wear, or are Interested, Please Read

Just curious about the Quoddys.  So Alden makes, or has made in the past, modified last shoes for them ?

no, sorry. just regular quoddys. dont offer much support (much like the Alden chukkah) but i wear them for casual settings without issue.

Also, are those special shoe trees that you use for the ML ?  Or just regular Alden shoe trees.

just regular alden, or woodlore trees (like them best- the epic). FYI, many stores will throw them for free if you spend $500 on a pair of shoes.

Mine was either Moulded shoe or Shoemart, though in either case, they were factory seconds of shoes made for the Japanese market (i have bought many pairs from both - Shoemart was up front about it, Moulded had been sketchy about explaining the branded R in a circle on the soles).

Kudu Indy is still pending confirmation.

The ravello modified pt boot is my holy grail. I've been on the order list at Anatomica Paris since Sept. Still waiting for that order to be confirmed as well.

FYI, two years later, the ravello modified last PT boot is now in . . . sheesh!

I happened to talk to Rafael at Moulded yesterday and those Kudu Indy Boots have finally gone into production, after a year and a half.

How many people are still in on that order ?

I am still in also, waiting for update from Moulded. At the time of the MTO, confirmed orders were being delivered in 9 months. If that's still true, we may be looking at a March-April 2015 delivery.
