How does this year's Formosa tobacco linen suit compare to last year's? Or is it the same cloth?

Same as last year

Which was different from the one the year before

There seems to be one on the new arrivals page.

Good call, I thought I was SOL when I was looking for one earlier this year for the summer.
Are you talking about this suit?

These are still practically brand new, but a painless break-in process for my Butteros so far. Actually pretty comfortable, leather insoles and all. Very happy I snagged these when I did.

@gdl203 great choices. out of curiosity, what would you envision pairing the grey SC with? I'd say navy pants (team navy trews FTW), but you've a far better eye for what actually looks good, so your input would be sweet.

To follow up on Greg's response about pairings with a gray SC, I offer these photos. The first is a shot I took for another forum member that was asking me about how versatile (or not) one of my SCs is. I threw it down next to the pants I had in my office waiting to be hemmed. If you mentally swap the blue SC with the gray pants, I think it is easy to see that a gray SC can work with khaki, green, a first brown, merlot, a second brown, and blue. I think you can take any two of these colors and use them for a successful pants/SC combo.

Here are more of my pants. From these, I wear my gray SC with the red, blue, mist green, dark green, khaki, and beige (L-R).

Moving over the flannels, I wear my gray SC with my blue, dark brown, mid brown, beige, fawn, and oatmeal (L-R).

Basically, the only pants I don't wear with my gray SC are gray pants.

These may not be the best example, but grabbing photos I've already posted, here is a gray SC with denim:

With sage green:

With oatmeal flannel:

With blue flannel:

With mist green (in need of a press):

I generally like it best with all different flavors of greens and browns, but it is a nice contrast with the lighter colors.

Good (and extensive) work. Appreciate it. I agree totally that it is rather easy to wear, "rules" be damned.
