Got my GRP linen tee today and it is *luxurious*! Just feels amazing and can't wait to wear it on a hot day.

I went true to size (5/M) and it fits great. Relaxed but with a nice shape.

I wear size 6 in GRP for tshirts and sweaters. Fits like a standard Large for me. I’m a 42/52 in tailoring.

Some very nice DBs from Kaptain, seems like a theme this spring? The easy pant variety grows. A little sad that one of my favorite PF shirts wasn't picked up, but you can't win em all.

Their Ambar shirt in green. I think it probably would have been overkill with the landscape shirt already in stock. Possibly I'm misjudging it off of the pictures what it would look like in person, but I like the rich dark green and the flowing pattern.

Ambar was an attractive fabric. We didn't love the scale and repeat of the pattern, and since buying PF is always a process of elimination (too many good styles), it was a good enough reason for us to leave it out.

The pattern does get a little chaotic around the pocket. In any event, my second favorite was the plasma shirt, which I'll be snagging soon.

Kaptain Sunshine has really matured over the years while still feeling very current. It's always been a bit more sophisticated than it appears at first glance and that carries through.


As mentioned earlier we have some great DB action so I'll start with that:



hoooo baby. 60/40 wool mohair is perfect for this and keeps everything super high level. With soft, slightly dropped shoulders it's an easy wear and fun to style



The other DB is is part of some separates and cut in this really refined (in true KS fashion) dark brown linen.



Matching trousers are the "shoecut slacks" which are their main suit separates with pleats and a straight leg. Very much my kind of casual suit.



Can't get enough of this. Hunter jacket in a lightweight poly with oversized details all-around (to go with the oversized cut). Packable hood and the water-repellant fabric keep it functional to boot.

Skipper polo is back but in a long sleeve version, perfect in some fine Supima cotton.



CPO shirt in gauzy cotton is a nice addition, and the microcheck makes for a very cool effect in such a casual shirt



Another stellar fabric, it's not just the color and stripes on this one but that 21% silk content that really sets it apart.



We've had this paper and cotton crewneck before in white and I love the crisp, dry hand to it, but this beige is a nice change of pace that plays with the sheerness of it in an easier way.

Got some big ol' traveller pants in cotton and linen. These have a drawcord on the outside and a big waist no matter the size, meant to be cinched up and rumpled at the waist, paper bag style.



Our other new trousers are some bucklebacks in lightweight natural color denim, done up in the proper way on narrow shuttle looms, etc. This is Kaptain, you know the drill by now.



And speaking of, this is probably the nicest short sleeve sweatshirt we've felt, in (you guessed it) suvin supima cotton. Washed black color is a nice effect that play with our expectations of the luxurious fabric.






Rounding out the selection we have a trio of tubular tees in supima cotton. Not much to say other than these are as nice as you'd expect from KS, and if you haven't handled them in the past you really deserve to.
