So, I send the team this awful iphone scribble of what I have in mind, which is essentially a Western/rancher version of the FW21 shearling SB coat. The lines are repositioned/reshaped seams to bring in swooping Western seams (à la Clint), remove the through buttons on the (now Western style) flap pockets, and also lengthen the coat a tad. Two weeks later, and they've developed it for us. I already now this is going to be my favorite coat of FW 22

I know the measurements can be deceiving due to the thickness so are these more Clint sized or the usual Valstar of definitely size-up?
TTS for those - take your Clint size, not your Valstarino size. Paging @Newcomer and @sood for their takes

Speaking of Valstar shearling, brown and tan aviator in a 52 is still available. If I didn't already own a similar version I'd snap it up. I encourage anyone considering it to go for it.
Agreed, love mine. It’s the easiest thing to just throw on, and look like a million bucks. Somehow worth the price tag, haha

So, here is a picture I shared recently. This is the 52. If you are wearing heavy knitwear, then I would say go with a size up. If you are wearing it with a shirt or lighter knitwear, then go TTS. Heavy knitwear, in my opinion, can mess with sleeve length, and make sleeve lengths too short. Inverse also applicable. @gdl203 posted a picture recently with lots of layers and I thought the shearling looked a little on the small side (can’t find it on phone). Don’t know if you can go wrong either way though to be honest.

Not sure on the length as it seems really long (longer than the KS traveler?). Am I missing something or overthinking it?
Not that long at all. 2-3" shorter than the Ikiji belted coat and pretty much same as a traveler coat in the same size. Traveler coat is a short-ish coat too. This is meant to be a proper knee length shearling coat, which is so hard to find.

This is what +10cm would look like on @Newcomer

Glad you were talking about the coat when you added on that extra 10cm.

@45bur @1969 how did you guys size? TTS or up one (Clint or vastarino size)?

I took a 52. I'm a 52 in Clint but can wear a 50 and wear a 54 in Valstarino for a relaxed fit. I wear a 50 in most EU sizing, and a 41 in Iglese dress shirts.

EDIT: to clarify, I'm talking about the aviator shearling, not the ranch coat.

This reflects my sizing to a T. I took a 50 in the Clint but could definitely wear a 52.
