Has NMWA (and presumably other US based retailers) been forced to collect sales tax relatively recently? I’ve not ordered in a spell, so entirely possible. Not a NMWA knock at all, of course…but man that Cali tax life blows lol.
But, dipping my toes in the Carrara waters. Curious to get my mitts on a piece.

Can't wait to hear about the visit to DBF. Their FW 22 stuff looks fantastic. Other IG content was on point today too.

NMWA and other large retailers (mr. P, sense etc.) They all have been collecting sales tax in CA for a while now!

Thinks it’s been that way for a while but I do know eBay recently had to start collecting tax Where before they did not.

Remote retailers who sell over $500K per year to California residents are required to collect sales tax. The golden era of tax free online shopping is quickly coming to a close :(

Yea. Every state has been coming up with their own threshold and sales tax laws for "remote sellers" since the SCOTUS Wayfair decision that opened the way for states to collect sales tax even when the seller is not present in the state. It's aajor PITA to collect, file returns and pay sales tax in 7 states but it's the law - we don't have a choice.

I feel you! You should try selling an alcoholic beverage and dealing with the trade bureau for alcohol and tobacco with every state having different rules, regulations and tax structures. It’s archaic

Ended up with a fair bit of nmwa today. Parisian mac, tie your tie, Farnese, merola and fat Carter.

I think there might still be a Parisian mac for sale in the nmwa buy sell thread. It’s a wonderful coat.

Yeah was that an expanded Heschung offering? Forgot they do a lot more than just Thuya's. I have a pair of ripple mocs and some Chuka boots that are both fantastic.

Does anyone own a Schneider scarf from NMWA? Wondering about the warmth and softness.
