Global warming as a threat to classic menswear

Aside from wearing more linen is there anything that we can do? I'm worried that global warming may start interfering with aspects of my life beyond my menswear hobby. :(

Global warming as a threat to classic menswear

This is my first summer in Florence than I can remember not seeing a man in silk or linen summer scarf. Even jackets have been a rare sighting. This summer has been one of the hottest on record here and men are adjusting their attire accordingly. I worry about a future in high temperatures make...

Can anyone ID these shoes for me? They look like the Pegasus Zoom but I haven't been able to find this exact colorway anywhere. Thanks!

Shawl neck hoodie - Seeking recommendations

Hello, I found this old RLBL shawl neck hoodie which looks great but is long gone. Can anyone recommend to me a brand that is making anything similar? Thank you.

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

Recently I have been feeling this. I still can't justify the price but I do think it is a beautiful, modern piece. I'm very pleased that they shrunk the Lambda down to 39mm. The 42mm was huge.

    Tods

bump. I know they don't recraft their driving mocs, but does anyone know if they do for their other shoes? I just picked up these boots and it'd be sad to trash them when the unique rubber sole goes: https://www.barneys.com/product/tod-27s-burnished-leather-lace-up-boots-505186308.html Also...

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

The rich pumpkin patina of the dial attracted me to the 1680. I found the ghost bezel insert on the 16610 in a shoebox full of inserts at a vintage Rolex dealer almost two years ago but just got its host watch today... it's crazy when the insert wags the watch but so it goes. I'm a sucker for...

I don't love the top hat and think I'd prefer sapphire.

Thinking about trading my sweet pumpkin patina 1680 for a 4-liner 14060m. Thoughts?

    What headphones do you use?

Are there any half decent in ear Bluetooth options available? The Jaybird X3 seem to be the currently darling of the reviewers but I just bought a pair and they sound like garbage. B&O look pretty but only have <3 hours of battery and use a ridiculous non-USB Charing doc. Klipsch, who I adore...

    Random health and exercise thoughts

Is anyone here a dedicated meal prepper? If so, when you're prepping your meals for the week, what's your primary nutritional goal for the design or composition of each meal? For example, do you: * A) Design for absolute macros, "This meal has 30g protein, 50g carbs, 15g fats." * B) Design for...

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

I am torn: moon or power. I feel the lunar dial to be more balanced but also busier. I love OG's implementation of the date window and this grey/steel combination. Lange is out of my price range and too formal for how I dress 99% of the time.

FS: Fujifilm X100T camera: very #menswear approved + accessories

I bought this camera thinking I'd take up photography as a new hobby but it didn't happen. For sale is my hardly used Fujifilm X100T camera. It's in perfect condition and includes the original box, papers, and all accessories. Also included are the following aftermarket upgrades. In total this...

Cool furniture, design objects and desiderata

Yup, you guys are right. I believe that's vintage Ikea. I can't find the model anymore so I suspect it's discontinued. Dang.

Cool furniture, design objects and desiderata

This is not cool furniture nor is it an example of fine design, but for my small apt in SF it'd offer extreme utility: Can anyone eyeball who makes this narrow storage unit? I'm hoping someone will recognize it. I've tried all the Google methods and no luck. Thanks in advance.

Acquired this beautiful bezel this weekend. Now seeking a 14060 to put it to use within. Funny when the bezel wags the watch

Yeah, $7.2k new the best I've found thus far. The dial color is just so lovely paired with the steel.
