You made these ?
They're fantastic.

Yessir, started out as rough sawn black walnut and quarter saw white oak. Appreciate the kind words!

Had some plans to reference, which were helpful, but it’s the first chair and ottoman I’ve made (and there’s no screws, all mortise tenon style joinery). Took a bit longer than I’d like, but ended up spending a fair bit more time to get continuous grain match both vertically and horizontally on the three panels.

Triple pop situation with two possible thread firsts? I don't know if there are any other Simon Crompton readers here but I only knew about these two UK brands from his blog.

Sounds messed but yes this is the first time I've ever found miusa reverse weave in the thrift. Do you guys know if this is some kind of reissue? The tag looks so fresh I'm not sure if it's actual vintage 80s.

That's vintage boss. The newer crap will have modern looking tags, be made in Honduras or etc and Newer ones don't say Warmup I believe.

Modern tag:

I've recently learned about "college name sweatshirts" and holy hell there's some value. The vintage reverse weaves with notable colleges bring a ton. Nice find!

*Edit: Just saw that they actually do make repro tags on some newer items but I don't believe the tags look like yours and I don't believe they are US made. Damn brands re-issuing things!

Funny thing is my gf is like Jekyll and Hyde if she doesn't get her Java.
So this morning, we have like 4 places to get coffee etc.
One didn't hit the spot ,Tim Hortons fucked it up completely, and the third (where i always go) was closed for some reason so she was in a bad mood man lol.
And she mentioned wouldn't it be nice to have a vintage one at home....not an hour later I see this thing .

My daughter saw this at the thrift store and immediately alerted me to its location on the rack. She tried it on and she loved it. Great 90’s style.

Found this at a garage sale. It actually wasn’t for sale. The guy was using it to store screws, nails, bolts, etc in. I asked if he’d sell it. He said to name my price. I threw out $40, and he ecstatically accepted. He said he got it for free 30 some years ago when the tire shop he was working for was tossing it out. It’s been in his garage since. Now it lives on in the tantrum sanctuary. It cleaned up nicely. I foolishly didn’t take an after photo before getting it set up (I suppose I was too anxious to see how it looked in that space). Oh well.

Have literally bought nothing in almost two months. So slow. Hopefully today is a sign things will be picking up.
Nice pants.

Orphan but navy and no kiton left behind. Actually my wife has already taken it, plans to change out the buttons.

This was an interesting find. Very heavy, no marks that I can see but I assume cast iron. Hard to tell in the pics but it nice patina. This will look great somewhere on one of our shelves.
