What music are you listening to lately?

Just downloaded and have been listening to the new Jack White album for the past few hours. As with any Jack White-related piece of work, the first listen is a very good 7 but repeated listens elevate it to an easy 9. Not as good as some of his White Stripes work but I like the direction he's...

Ask A Question, Get An Answer... - Post All Quick Questions Here (Classic menswear)

That's right. Generally, a size 40 jacket would measure 42-44" in the chest, depending on how slim the cut is. If your chest is 39.5" and you try to wear a jacket measuring 40" across the chest, it'd be too tight for comfort, obviously.

Best New Documentaries You've Seen Lately?

I'd definitely recommend Bill Cunningham highly. What an interesting and genuine man! Also, Cats of Mirikitani, about a homeless 70+ year old Japanese artist.

So far so good after the 3-months long break. John Goodman with the beard and ponytail was awesome, tonight. And Dean Felton should just propose to Jeff, already.

    Poor man's watch thread

I see that you've already bought the CW watch. Good choice! I have 6-7 CW watches - I bought them when they were on sale mostly. I think they jacked up the prices in the last year or so. Pretty good quality watches overall for the money they charge you: Standard ETA movements, clean...

I've started to listen to The Naked and Famous maybe 2 years or so ago when I was living in Australia. They are from New Zealand so was nice to find out about a "local" band. Never seen them live but am pretty sure they must be decent. Alisa Xayalith has a pretty voice and is decently...

What time do you wake up for work?

There is a shuttle bus going right to the university - takes about 10 minutes but I enjoy walking. Good exercise.

What time do you wake up for work?

I teach at a university and my earliest class is at 2 pm so I usually wake up around noon, walk about 60-70 minutes to the university, grab some brunch and go to class. Go to bed around 5 am usually so I get around 7 hours of sleep a night. I can't see myself working outside academia.

I don't need them but figured that's no reason to pass these beauties up. Kopped. Thanks.

Pretty good. It's just an awesome experience altogether. Matt goes to his little space/world when singing, doing little dances, wandering around, clutching the mic, kicking the air, etc. And Bryan Devendorf, the drummer, is spectacular live, too.

3 concerts back to back? That's impressive. I ended up getting ticketed for doing 86 miles in a 75 zone on my way drive home but it was still worth seeing them live again (first time was when I was living in Australia). Have fun!

Drove about 230 miles to see The National live. Was totally worth it. The National is the best live band I've seen. Local Natives opened for them and they were pretty decent, too.
