See, I have the opposite problem: I’m ashamed to say I can’t! And I’ve met several of them in person! Haha. oh wellI'm slightly ashamed that I know who's on his IG based on SF past pics
I'm really liking what I see from Corcos' insta. He's still not accepting new clients, right?
I think that’s a tough dilemma for every young tailor as they expand & reach capacity as far as number of clients. That’s why kotaro stopped taking new clients for years. If I recall correctly, in 2018, he wasn’t taking new clients until 2020. I believe that was when it was just him and his wife. Do they raise prices to reduce demand, or do they bring on help (which involves some training) and keep prices the same (or only slightly raise them).I heard that Kotaro has beefed up his team with a few more guys to build the jackets.
When I used him, it used to be just him and his wife.
That might explain some of the variance I’m seeing in his work these days.
Got my length of the LL Prince Tweed earlier this week. Can't wait to give it to Keiichi Satowa and have it made into a regal 2-piece - so happy he agreed to take me on as a client. The cloth just cries out for a drapey English cut.
Did anyone else subscribe to that?
I have three suits made from it that I wear around this time of the year. The traditional tan in a plain weave. And two herringbone. One in blue and the other in green. They are the obverse sides of the same fabric. And with that I wonder do you have any experience with 'Solaro'? @psb recently posted on the What are you wearing thread and @DougDevious commented that the fabric was solaro. I googled it, read a bit about it, and now I'm curious.
Any one else have experience with it?
I find that all his stuff fits well and technically on point. But for some reason, it doesn’t pull me.Fits very well. Shoulders not to my taste.
I have a suit in that same fabric. I liked Tom Cruise’s suit from Collateral and wanted to try a similar color. I love Crispaire.A final fitting with Joseph Genuardi yesterday. Crispaire for the summer.
Fits very well. Shoulders not to my taste.
Very j press / brooks brothers.
