I tried on both pairs and these shoes are like walking on a cloud, seriously the most comfortable shoes i have ever worn. soft but very supportive. like butter but also felt like i was standing firmly on the ground.
but a funny thing happened. there is no question that the size 11 is correct, its as perfect a fit as i have ever tried on. however, the st. james on the MH71 in size 11 was damn near impossible to put on my feet, maybe I didnt open it wide enough, but it was really hard getting it on. once i was able to get it on, it fit perfectly. not loose and not too snug, just perfect. the westminster on TG73 in size 10.5 slipped right on, but was way to tight, not even a question.
i emailed nick and he said that its not the first time he heard that about the st james. anybody have a similar experience with the st james or any other shoe?

U throat.

Is the 10.5 too tight at the heels or too tight at the balls/metatarsal area? maybe 10.5F will work better than 11E.

10E for me is loose, 9.5E is fairly tight at the balls of foot, and 9.5F is okay (and Tony said I should be 9.5G)...

EDIT: maybe contacting G&G directly and ask them if they could determine your size by sending them your foot imprints?

nah, 10.5 is too tight everywhere. not even a question. the 11 is perfect, must be something about the shoe, maybe the throat like you said.

You can specify how much fading you want in different areas of the shoe. You don't have to get any if you don't want.

Ok, let me rephrase. By default the Deco Black in very subtle. If you don't want any fading it's just plain Black Calf.

i just want to make something clear in case there was any confusion about my posts. the "trial pairs service" that nick at bespoke offered me are provided as a courtesy for those placing MTO orders. he has been very kind, patient and helpful throughout the whole process. if you need any further info please feel free to contact him, im sure he can explain it in more detail, and tailor the process to each situation.

My G&G St James (MH71) are very hard to squeeze in too, but once in, fit and support is good... have yet to try other G&G shoes..I was wondering if they would all be difficult to fit into. Got a wholecut coming soon so we'd find out

it seems its that particular shoe. also, some people have had no problem with it. i guess its a combo of foot shape and the opening of that particular shoe.

either way keep us posted on the wholecut!
