We had our closets redesigned and installed by 'The Containter Store'. For the price we paid I couldn't be happier with the optimization and finished product. Still, we're forced to rotate clothing and shoes by season. There's a basement level storage space beneath our condo (humidity controlled via HOA) where we setup 5 of these guys. They're cheap, sturdy, and tall enough to hang a Frank Leder officers coat.

If I had had the smarts to purchase the Frank Leder officer's coat, I would not store it ever, so as to look longingly at it every time I walked into my closet.

Is an Inis Meain pre-order happening in time for SS17 or would it be for FW17?

SS17 pre--orders already happened (in July or something)

FW17 pre-orders will happen but will be very limited to a specific style.

EIDOS FW17 PRE-ORDERS

All pre-orders are listed on this page - I am not linking individual swatches here, in the interest of time
http://www.nomanwalksalone.com/index.php/pre-orders.html?makersinfo=220

As usual, use code PREORDER at checkout for your pre-order discount

PART 1 : FIELD JACKETS

This coat needs no introduction, it's the fantastic field jacket designed by Antonio, that can work easily from a pretty cool look over a suit or sport coat, down to a casual jeans and sweater look.

Most of the fabrics we chose were not sampled so you will have to use your imagination when looking at the swatches

Note that all the jackets will have tonal buttons - no high contrast button colors.

Fabric options:

PART 2 : HUNTING JACKET

By popular demand, Eidos's interpretation of the Maremma jacket, a classic of Florentine outerwear - made up in a charcoal Japanese pin corduroy fabric

Are we still playing the "What can you not believe is still available from the current sale" game?

I was on my long Sunday morning walk yesterday morning in my Valstar waxed cotton parka when I got caught in a driving rain. It rained pretty hard on me for about an hour and this thing kept me bone dry! The jacket is relatively lightweight (but very warm thanks tot he lining) and it doesn't have the same waxy feel as a waxed Barbour or Filson so I always wondered how waterproof it really would be but I can say that it definitely held its own.

:slayer:

So somebody who needs some weatherproof outerwear that they can wear with their tailored clothing but doesn't want a full length trench coat or rain coat should grab one of these:

Loden green hooded parka in British Millerain waxed cotton with sherpa lining (size 46)
700

Khaki trench coat in British Millerain waxed cotton with sherpa lining (sizes 46, 48, 50, 54)

Unreal! Amazing selections!!

Can you give a little more insights around the down filled parka?

Also, fabric ED303/920 really caught my eye. Would love a little more detail around it if possible

I second Ryden - I would love some insight regarding the fabrics! Especially the suit / sc selection.

There are additional swatch pics and some details (incl. weight and mill) on each of the product pages. Did you take a look?

As always, this is a tight selection, narrowed down from stacks of swatches, to the ones I really liked the most.

Re the parka, I'm going to be honest, I'm not sure I have much info - what are you looing for, things like fill, etc? Maybe @NickPollica can give us some deets - and can of course weigh in on other fabrics

Ignore what I said, G. What is your "must-have" out of the list. So many nice options.

on the Parka I was more looking for some measurements or sizing guidance. But also, any details from Nick would be great

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
