Which Summertime Blazer?

I've been a longtime lurker (hasn't everyone at some point or another?), finally decided to ask my first question (how exciting!).

I've got odd jackets and blazers, which I love wearing. Since the weather is starting to heat up here in the south, I am looking to pick up a new summer jacket (navy) and need a bit of advice. My only navy blazer is a fully lined, worsted wool Hickey Freeman (which I love). It's unfortunately not suited for warmer/hot weather.

I've found a couple of jackets, which look great, but I can't decide which one would breathe better. Any thoughts?

1) A 50/50 wool/silk blend, partially lined
2) A 50/50 wool/linen blend, fully lined

I'd lean toward the wool/linen, but it's fully lined. I'm not sure how the wool/silk will breathe. Any opinions?

Thank you guys so much!

Personally, I think silk wears warm, so I'd go with linen. A lot of this will depend on the weave of the fabric though and how open it is--along with the lining.

I'd say get whichever one fits better, so long as neither is super thick and warm.

Between those two options, I'd think you're better off with the wool/silk blend, since the lining is what is going to trap most of the heat and make you miserable. Though I agree with the prior comment that linen is more forgiving than silk.
